Windham, Maine – Mark your calendars for a night of music, community, and support for a vital cause. Walk a Mile in Their Shoes is hosting a special fundraising concert featuring the Ocean House Road Band on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at The Woodshed in Manchester, Maine. Doors open at 5:00 p.m., with the concert running from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m. In case of inclement weather, the event will be rescheduled for June 14, 2025.

This event brings people together to take a stand against child abuse while enjoying an unforgettable evening of blues rock. Guests will be treated to live music from the Ocean House Road Band, a silent auction filled with unique items and experiences, a beer tent with craft brews from local breweries, and a full bar with beer, wine, and liquor available for purchase. A variety of delicious food options will also be on hand. Seating includes picnic tables and a lawn area, so attendees are encouraged to bring their own seating for comfort.

“Walk a Mile in Their Shoes is proud to have the highly talented and long-time supporters, the Ocean House Road Band, providing their special entertainment for the evening concert and, of course, we’re thankful to our host, The Woodshed,” said Bill Diamond, founder of Walk a Mile in Their Shoes.

This event came together through a shared commitment to the cause. Curtis Kelly of Ocean House Road Band shared how the idea was born: “It all grew out of a conversation I had with Chase Morrill of Maine Cabin Masters on a flight last August about putting on a fundraiser for the amazing people at Walk a Mile in Their Shoes. The incredible team at The Woodshed took the idea and made it a great event. The band will be performing a variety of blues rock music, including songs made famous by the Allman Brothers, Phish, Joe Bonamassa, Cream, and more. We’re going to have a good time for a great cause.”

Tickets are $15 and all ages are welcome. Proceeds will benefit Walk a Mile in Their Shoes and their mission to support and advocate for Maine’s abused children.
